Black and White Cookies

Black and White Cookies
For Cookies:
1 – 1/4 cups whole wheat pastry flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup well-shaken buttermilk (I used reduced fat)
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup either unsalted butter or vegan butter
1/2 cup Stevia cup for cup sweetener (or granulated sugar)
1 large egg

For Icings:
1 – 1/2 cup confectioner’s Sugar (I used a combination of 3/4 cup confectioner’s sugar and 3/4 cup Stevia blend confectioner’s sugar which I made myself)
1 tbsp light corn syrup (Yea, I know. Not my favorite ingredient but it’s only 1 tablespoon)
2 tsp fresh lemon juice
1/4 tsp vanilla
1 to 2 tbsp water
1/4 cup unsweetened Dutch process cocoa powder (I used Hershey’s Special Dark cocoa powder)
