Nevada Files #4: 💥

Some Americans think the absence of procedural guidance about our Constitution’s Article V convention provision requires further clarification that established procedures and historical precedent don’t provide.

In fact, Robert Kelly, J.D. Staff Counsel (Citizens for Self-Governance) wrote an article about this specifically in the link below: We Know the Rules: Congress Does Not Control a Convention of States

Two false claims have been peddled by Convention of States opponents in recent months:

1) we cannot know the rules that would govern a convention and
2) Congress would control the rulemaking process.

They are mistaken. https://tinyurl.com/bdh9xjpy 👈

Washington is broken.

Here at Convention of States we have a solution as big as the problem.

An Article V Convention of States is called and controlled by the states and has the power to PROPOSE constitutional amendments.

These are our three, simple talking points.

1. Limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government (including the president)
2. Limit the terms of office for federal officials
3. Limit the ability of Congress and the president to spend and waste our hard- earned money, via a Balanced Budget Amendment.
