To make a beat using GarageBand on an iPhone, follow these steps:

Open GarageBand on your iPhone.
Tap the "+" button to create a new project.
Choose "Drum Machine Designer" as your instrument.
Use the drum pads to create beats by tapping on different sounds.
Adjust the volume and tone of each sound by tapping and holding the sound in the drum machine, then using the sliders.
Add additional instruments by tapping on the "+" button and choosing from the available options.
Use the keyboard or fretboard to add melodies or bass lines.
Use the Arrange track to rearrange the structure of your song.
Save and export your beat by tapping the "Share" button, then choosing "Export Song to Disk."
Note: GarageBand for iOS also has a built-in step sequencer for creating beats, which may be easier for some users. To access the step sequencer, tap on the "+" button, then choose "Beat Sequencer."
