We speak to 2nd Lt Rossouw Swart. He started his career as a national serviceman in 1991 before moving to the School of Infantry where he became an officer and volunteered for 32 Battalion. Once there, he passed the 32 Bn Orientation and commanded 17 Platoon, Foxtrot Company. This was a tough time for the battalion deployed in Soweto, Alexandria and other townships.
