A Storm from a Verandah in Cologne

In this excellent recording from Cologne, Germany, we are initially greeted with the sounds of a downpour that gradually gains in ferocity, growing from a tranquil patter to a raging crescendo, interspersed with sky-splitting lightning strikes and thunder. Featured also are some deep rumbles of thunder echoing in the distance, the melodic chirps of birds seeking refuge, and the quaint squeaks of a suburban screen door as the tempest bears down upon the land.
