Dr Clare is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario in London Ontario. He had a solo rural practice for 23 years before relocating to Alberta in 1999, including hospital, emergency department, on-call rotation, family practice obstetrics, house calls, as well as being a Medical Advisor for Home Care in his county.

He trained as a Homeopathic Doctor at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital in London England.
