In January 2023, a young Black man named #TyreNichols was beaten and killed by 5 Memphis police officers. They are all Black also. The 5 officers were fired immediately and the videos of the incident were released to the public at the urging of attorney #BenCrump. There are so many questions that need to be answered that aren’t getting asked. Protesting and outrage are superseding logic and above all, this incident is being called #racist. The confusion surrounding this has led the public to rush to a guilty verdict for the police before a trial even started. But does a guilty verdict give us the truth of this incident and are the myths surrounding this incident more important than truth and real justice?
