26th in our series the Prophet Zephaniah

I. The Characteristics of the Millennial Kingdom - Zephaniah 3:9-13
* A. Purity - Zephaniah 3:9-10
* 1. Pure language
* 2. Pure worship, Pure service, Pure unity
* B. Freedom from - Zephaniah 3:11-13
* 1. Guilt and Shame
* 2. Pride and all who do not absolutely trust the Lord
* 3. All unrighteousness
* 4. All lies and deception

II. Distinguishing Between Lies and Deception
* A. The original lie - Genesis 3:1-5
* 1. Question what God has said - Eve misquotes the Word 
* 2. Satan gives a Bold faced lie coupled with false promises
* B. Lies are the core character of Satan - John 8:44
* 1. Lies deprive someone of information which they need to make wise, informed decisions
* 2. Lies destroy trust in relationships for they will be uncovered
* C. A lie involves knowingly giving false information
* D. Deceits may contain truth, but they are employed in such a fashion to deceive the hearer 
* 1. Jesus warns of great end times deceptions - Matt. 24:24
* 2. Caveat: in time of war we do not owe truth to the enemy - Joshua 2:2-7, 15-16 

III. Breaking the Oppression of Lies 
* A. When we trust God, we believe all His Word 
* B. Expose the lies of the enemy - Ephesians 5:11
* C. Commit to speak the Truth in love - Ephesians 4:15
