Self-proclaimed freedom fighter Artur Pawlowski was back in the Lethbridge court house earlier today. Pawlowski is being charged with inciting mischief, counseling interference with critical infrastructure, and failing to keep the peace when he spoke at the Coutts border blockade last winter. He has pleaded not guilty to these charges.

Steven Johnston, the crown prosecutor, cited a video of Pawlowski at the Smugglers Saloon in Coutts, saying he went to the small border village and lit a match for supporters of the blockade.

It was decided that on February 17th they would make a final date for the verdict on Pawlowski’s case. Pawlowski was not a happy camper outside of the court house.

Pawlowski said he felt disrespected by the crown prosecutor who kept mispronouncing his last name, calling him Pa-loo-ski. The two had a heated exchange before the second half of the trial today.
