Dhaka residents protest against rising energy prices, govt policies

The Bangladeshi capital Dhaka has seen hundreds of protesters rallying over soaring energy costs and government policies, denouncing Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. In January, the country’s main opposition force, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, called for nationwide demonstrations to pressure the government to take action over exorbitant prices.
