The thickest parts of Saturn's rings can stretch up to a kilometer, but they only have an average width of about nine meters. They are made almost entirely of water ice. Recent research has indicated that the rings are between 10 and 100 million years old. Unfortunately, they will also likely disappear in a few hundred million years.
