Riding In a Winter Wonderland - Riding my Honda to work after a Texas winter storm

I have to say, the bike and gear handled great. I took it easy for obvious reasons, never know when what looks like just wet is actually ice. But the only part of me that got cold was my fingers. The REV'IT! Cassini H2O gloves really aren't meant for the conditions. Not their fault, they kept me dry and kept the wind off, but they're not heavy enough insulation for the near freezing temps. Luckily later in my ride I got stuck at a few lights for a couple cycles and got to warm my fingers up a bit.

The Scorpion EXO Optima jacket handles this fine, but if you were taking a longer ride or it was colder you might want a better base layer underneath. Or if you're just cold sensitive. But if I had a bike with better wind protection, let's gooooooo.
