The reason Pfizer can claim they haven't participated in "directed evolution" when it comes to SARS is because it is a Thermo Fisher Scientific Technology called GeneArt. Moderna and Pfizer received their genetically altered SARS to produce vaccines from Thermo Fisher Scientific.
