Faust Checho dives into the true fact that the United States hasn’t declared war since 1942. While we may have deployed troops to many countries since then, we haven’t actually declared war.
That’s because the only ones able to officially declare war are the members of Congress, but who’s asking them? According to the War Powers Resolution of 1973, the president can invade first and ask Congress for their approval later.
That’s much better… isn’t it?
