Agate hunting in the Hinds River - New Zealand

We managed to find some nice agates and bits of chalcedony in spite of the amount of snow on the ground which really limited the amount of ground we could inspect. I really need a pair of waders as the rivers were too deep for my gum boots - my feet were freezing! Don't think I got frostbite but sure felt like it was close.

This was at the Hinds River, Canterbury.
