Rare obsidian Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton at Auckland Museum and comparison to a Moa

When I heard there was an actual T-Rex skeleton in New Zealand, I knew I had to make the trip out there to go check it out. It was on display at the Auckland Museum so I got on a plane one Friday and headed up for the weekend to the North Island.

While looking at the skeleton, I noticed the toes were so similar to that of a moa, so once I got back I downloaded some 3D models and saw my hunch was right - they are very similar indeed.
