Should you fear the "Doomsday Clock"?

On 1/24 the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists set the "Doomsday Clock" to 90 seconds to midnight, in effect saying we're on the verge of global catastrophe. The Doomsday Clock has a storied history but it's not worth taking this latest announcement seriously.
