UNIBEN students assault a military officer, protest harassment of their female colleague.

There is tension at the University of Benin, Edo State, after a set of soldiers assaulted a female student at an ATM booth on campus.

According to multiple reports, some soldiers had bombarded the school on Thursday, February 2, to use the ATM. “A female student who was at the scene was using her phone and the soldiers thought she was recording them. They ordered their female colleague to beat her blue and back. Luckily for the victim, school’s security came to her rescue.
