Chapter 7 is out chronological order
Chapter 7 = Interlude
Gives insight behind the scenes
Gives hope in the midst of wrath
End of Revelation 6 is really bad
Who can stand? 2 groups in Revelation 7
Who are the 144,000
These are Jews not Jehovah's Witness
Jewish believers who are saved during the Tribulation, protected by a seal, and sent as witnesses to unbelievers
Second group will stand during the Tribulation
Revelation 7:9-14 says, "After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” 11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying: “Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!” 13 Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?” 14 I answered, “Sir, you know.” And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."
These are people who get saved during the Tribulation
How many? a TON!
144,000 Hebrew believers will be protected during the Tribulation
This Gentile multitude are martyrs at the hand of the antichrist
They will be martyred for not worshipping the beast and for not taking his mark
Compare & Contrast the 144,000 Hebrews with the Gentile Multitude
White Robes - Righteousness (illuminating)
Palm Branches = Joy & Triumph
Revelation 7:10-11 says, "And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” 11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God"
Book of Revelation pulls back the curtain and gives us a glimpse into heaven
People will say when I get to heaven I will ask God this and that...
No, actually you won't. When you get to heaven you will fall on your face and be totally undone
Remember when John arrived in Heaven in Revelation 1
This should enlighten our worship here on earth
Revelation 7:12 says, "saying: “Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!”
7-fold worship of God the Father in Heaven
7-fold worship is given to Jesus in heaven also
Revelation 5:12 says, "In a loud voice they were saying: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!”
Father & Son are co-worshipped in heaven which means they are co-equal and co-eternal along with the Holy Spirit
The essence of who God is, is Trinity
The Trinity is more apparent in the Book of Revelation than other book
Baptism of Jesus
God is Trinity = Father, Son, Spirit
3 person, 1 substance
Draw Triangle
Trinity is essential and foundational
No Trinity = No Christianity
God is Love because God is Trinity
Love requires threeeness: the lover, the beloved and the act or bond of love between them
God is Trinity because God is Love
God is one; God is three persons not three parts
Because God is Trinity, He is Love
Because God is Love, He is Good
Because God is Good, He is Just & Merciful
Not either/or but both/and
Revelation 7 - Just & Merciful
Everything of who God is flows from the Trinitarian nature of God

Revelation 7:13-17 says, "Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?” 14 I answered, “Sir, you know.” And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robesand made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore, “they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence. 16 ‘Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat down on them,’ nor any scorching heat. 17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; ‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’[b] ‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’”
The old order of things is being replaced with a new order
Eternal Glory Of The Tribulation Saints
- They are before God's Throne
- They serve in God's Temple day and night
- God grants them favor and protection
- They no longer hunger or thirst
- Christ not only saves them but feeds them
- God removes all their sorrow
That's a promise for all of u
