Autosuggestion Technique

This technique comes from Stephen Laberges book “Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming” and can be found in more detail there.

The first step is to lie in bed and relax completely. Gently close your eyes and relax every part of your body. Let go of all muscular and mental tension. Breathe slowly and restfully. Let go of all thoughts worries or concerns.

While remaining relaxed suggest to yourself that you are going to have a lucid dream. You will have a lucid dream either later that night or if not that night a night in the near future. Do not make a strong assertion of this fact by saying but rather make a more gentle suggestion. Look forward to the lucid dream you are going to have with a genuine expectation that it will happen. Repeat this process with confidence but also with the mindset that you will happily accept whatever happens.
