Immigration, Title 42 and What’s Really Happening at the Border, Feat. Mayra Flores

Our guest today is an immigrant success story…. She is a former congresswoman from Texas’ 34th district, champion for freedom and now a Senior Political Contributor for Americano Media.

The border is VERY open. In 2022 there were over 2.4 million encounters at the border, 1.7 million in 2021. Compare that with an average of only around 450K from 2010 - 2020, with an outlier year of 851K in 2019.

These are only the encounters, this does not count everyone that got past border guards. Mayra Flores is the former Congresswoman from Texas' 34th District, at the heart of the border conversation. An immigrant from Mexico herself, she feels immigration is important but within legal bounds, not just by crossing the border illegally. She feels this should not be a partisan issue calling out the current administration and Republican Lawmakers.

About Mayra:
Mayra Nohemi Flores is an American politician who represented Texas’s 34th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives from 2022 to 2023. A member of the Republican Party, and is the First Mexican-born Congresswoman in American History and is a conservative leader.

Mayra was born and raised with humble beginnings in Burgos Tamaulipas, Mexico. Her parents and grandparents raised her with strong conservative values and to always put God and family first. She came legally to the United States at six years old with the help of her father. Her father gave her family the biggest gift, the gift of becoming a proud, naturalized American Citizen.

Mayra believes in fortifying our legal immigration system, in securing our borders, lowering the costs of healthcare, lowering taxes, promoting small businesses, and less government. She is a Pro-Life, Pro-Second Amendment, and Pro-Law Enforcement candidate that wants to earn your vote.
