Sunset Hockey Dreaming

I had a dream last night...
That I was a kid again playing
hockey on the lake with my brother.

I never wanted to wake up

Two kid brothers on a frozen lake
Skating with sticks, their hearts awake
The sun sets orange in the western sky
Reflecting on the ice, a fiery dye

They laugh and shout, chasing the puck
Their spirits high, their energy stuck
On the game they play, with all their might
Their bond unbreakable, a pure delight

The cold air nips at their rosy cheeks
But they don't mind, they're having peaks
Of joy and fun, with each other's company
On this lake, they're free

The last rays of sun disappear
But the brothers don't have any fear
For they'll be back, to play again
On this lake, their bond will never end

A bond forged on the ice, so strong and true
Two kid brothers, forever in hockey, forever in the game.
