Tips on How to Memorize the Fretboard

Tips and patterns to help you learn the notes on the fretboard.
Natural notes: A, B, C, D, E, F, G
Remember, B and E have no sharp, there is only a 1/2 step (one fret) between them.
Other notes like A to B, C to D, D to E, F to G, and G to A have a whole step (so two frets) between them.
The fret value between the natural notes is the sharp or flat. For example the fret between A and B could be considered A sharp or B flat considering the scale/key you are talking about.
