South Sudan security forces displayed a "show of force" on Wednesday (February 1) as heavily armed soldiers and police officers started patrolling around Juba ahead of Pope Francis' arrival. South Sudan People's Defense Force's spokesperson, Major General Lul Ruai, said that there were over 5,000 troops involved.
