Home Coming 9 Orangutans

9 individual Sumatran orangutans (Pongo abelii) 'go home' after years of living in a foreign country. These protected animals are evidence in cases of illegal wildlife trade/circulation in Malaysia where the perpetrators have been punished. On Friday (18/12/2020) afternoon, the 9 orangutans arrived at Kuala Namu International Airport and will be rehabilitated at the Sumatran Orangutan Rehabilitation and Quarantine Center in Batu Mbelin, Sibolangit District, Deli Serdang.
