Hiking Mineral Ridge 🌲🌲🌲 North Idaho in January

What do you do on a cold day in North Idaho, when all of the trails are snowed in, and you want to hike but you don't want to hike? What do you do when one of you is recovering from pneumonia and the other is wishing he could be in his arm chair, drinking coffee, with his dog in his lap? Well, you can go with what you know, and for us, that means Mineral Ridge. Mineral Ridge used to be a really secluded hike that only locals knew about. Now, sometimes it is swarmed with hikers from all over. Typically, we avoid it in fair weather. When it is covered in ice, the foot traffic is reduced significantly. Anyway, I ramble on.
