Suffering Reduces Us to Nothing So God Can Do Something

Suffering removes all hindrances and distractions so we can focus on our challenges, weaknesses, and God's power. For example,

1 – God removed every human except Noah and his family to replenish the world.
2 – Moses lost everything but a staff, wandering in a desert for forty years, preparing for greatness.
3 – The Lord reduced Christ to nothing, the necessary precursor for changing the world.
4 – Paul was glad to give up everything to win Christ, his key to reaching the Gentiles.
5 – A woman giving birth cares for nothing around her, thinking only of the forthcoming miracle.
6 – A dying apple leaves a seed for growing a magnificent tree. See John 12:24.

In God's counterintuitive economy, losing is winning, a reduction is gaining, and suffering is the portal to success.
