Strongest in the gym or most shredded? #shorts #fitness

Just by watching this video, you can probably guess where I stand on this 😂 but it’s basically the classic gym debate: would you rather be the strongest at your gym, or the most shredded?

Personally, unless you’re training for a powerlifting competition or something like that, I am of the firm opinion that it doesn’t matter how much you bench, it matters how much you *look like* you can bench. At this point, having a well proportioned, aesthetic physique is just more important to me then being able to impress someone when they ask me “yeah but how much u deadlift?”

Weight is all relative anyway. Being able to bench 225 for 15 reps is a lot less impressive if you weigh 208 than it is if you weight, say, 180. My advice? Don’t let yourself get sucked into the trap of “ego lifting.” Prioritize form and technique over hitting some arbitrary number on the squat rack.
