Recently I covered the early history of Student Loans. How they were first introduced during the Cold War in an effort to spur economic competition with the Soviet Union. As time went on they were slowly corrupted into a multibillion dollar industry by federal expansion and the removal of student protections and bankruptcy eligibility.

In this video I discuss the final iteration of these problems in the form of Student Loan Asset Backed Securities (or SLABS,) their impending crash, and the effect of student loan forgiveness on that market.
