When George Endicott enlisted he chose Military Intelligence, mistakenly thinking that would keep him out of harm's way. He operated in a loudspeaker team under the Psychological Operations umbrella. A grenade attack late at night wounded him and took the life of a little boy next to him - bringing home the realities of the danger and horrors of war.
