We tested the new Intel i5 10400F and the Ryzen 3 3100 to go head to head on stock settings in 8 Gaming Benchmarks.

The 10400F is running on 2666MHz RAM since it will be limited to this speed, when you don't have a Z490 motherboard.
The 3100 is clocked to 4.5 GHz to show its full potential. (stock cooler should at least get 4.2GHz, while 4.4 GHz is more likely)

While the i5 comes with 6 cores and 12 threads, the Ryzen 3 only has 4 cores and 8 threads, but costs 70$ less.

We tested the i5 10400F and the Ryzen 3 3100 in our standard 8 games test, including the most popular titles in 2020 like Fortnite, Warzone or Red Redemption 2.
