Golden Wheat and Butterflies

A girl with hair like golden wheat,
She danced among the flowers sweet.
A butterfly on slender wings,
Fluttered past and gave a fling.

The girl reached out with graceful hand,
And caught the butterfly, so grand.
She held it close and whispered low,
A secret known to those who go.

The butterfly then took to flight,
And danced among the sun’s bright light.
The girl watched with a smile so bright,
As the butterfly took flight.

She twirled and danced and laughed with glee,
As the butterfly flew free.
And as the sun began to set,
The girl and butterfly met.

Together they danced through the night,
Beneath the stars so clear and bright.
And as the dawn began to break,
The girl and butterfly woke.

The girl with hair like golden wheat,
And the butterfly so fleet,
Together they flew through the sky,
As free as the wind that passes by.
