Saving a Cloud Forest in Western Ecuador

This film is about the Loma Alta community and its upland cloud forest. In 1996, the community protected 1000 ha of forest in the Colonche Hills. Later they expanded protections to 3000 ha. The forest provides water to the community and sustains biodiversity of global importance. The community wants more people to visit the protected area via ecological tourism. Spanish speaking skills are required.
