Cops fatally shoot knife-wielding double amputee

Police in Los Angeles fatally shot a double amputee after being called to an unprovoked stabbing last Thursday. 36-year-old Anthony Lowe Jr. had allegedly attacked the victim with a knife, causing serious injury. Police found Lowe, a double amputee, still armed with a long butcher knife, attempting to flee on his stumps having abandoned his wheelchair. Police ultimately fired at least eight shots at Lowe, reportedly through fear he would throw his knife at them.

Footage of the incident has sparked outrage on social media, with Lowe’s family condemning the actions of the police. In a press conference on Monday, Lowe’s mother said, bluntly, ‘My son was murdered.’
