BLOOMING CHEEK: Crook Robbed Florist To Get Rose For His Last Victim

This is the bizarre moment a serial robber carries out a terrifying raid on a florist so he can steal a rose for one of his earlier victims.

The 35-year-old crook - unnamed in local media in Orenburg, Russia - forced assistants to hand over a single red rose plus nearly GBP 60 in cash (RUB 5,000).

The thief later told police he had taken a shine to a woman he had robbed a month earlier and wanted to say sorry.

But, according to police, he did not have any money so he robbed a florist armed with a bottle instead.

CCTV footage of the weird heist shows him looming over the counter, threatening two assistants.

As the florists cower behind the counter, he makes off with their takings and helps himself to a rose being prepared for a bouquet.

Police said the suspect was already under house arrest for earlier robberies and is now in custody, facing new charges.
