May is now bilaterally bionic, or to quote the pop star Sia: “I am Titanium!” As our daughter said, “50 is now the new 80” and joint replacements are not a “last resort” medical procedure anymore. Thanks to advances in technology and Medicine, patients of all ages are getting joint replacements and regaining their quality of life.

Can you believe May had a hip replacement one week ago and just recorded a podcast?! In 1992 when May had her ACL repaired, the standard of care was one week in a hospital bed! In 2023, you get to walk out of a surgery center hours after a major joint replacement! Technology and rehab has even changed again since her first hip replacement in 2016.
