🎊2nd Annual Retribution Holiday Celebration 🎉|The Indigenous Americans Day of Gratitude🙏🏽

💎In 2022, our family celebrated our 1st Retribution Day or Day of Retribution which is a day founded by myself for the Indigenous people of Turtle Island to show & give gratitude to our Indigenous Rebellious Ancestors & the Living Indigenous Rebels (along w/ others) that contributed to the demise & destruction of our some of our Oppressors.

💎As we all know or should know- Thanksgiving is a day of ritual that was created by the European Colonizers in an effort to celebrate their colonization & mass murder of the Indigenous People of the Americas. Although, over the years they’ve attempted to redefine & finesse this Ritual Day as a Day to give general Thanks, it is still deeply rooted in the demise of my Ancestors.

💎Therefore, My family & tribe decided we could no longer contribute nor participate in such a self-hating ritual & I figured we must create our own day of thanksgiving for what many of our Revolutionary Ancestors do not get acknowledgement or credit for- fighting back! We may still have a long way to go, however, those whom have fought & continue to fight against our oppressors will be recognized; if even by the few whom are willing to recognize Our Heroes!

💜Eventually, the goal is for every Indigenous person to know & make this Indigenous Holiday - RETRIBUTION DAY- a part of their lives every year. We will come together w/ our families on the last Sunday of every January to eat, drink, build & be merry; but primarily - to give GRATITUDE to those whom have lost their lives or freedoms to fight against the colonizers, oppressors & the like.

💫This year I cooked smothered turkey wings, chitterlings, dressing, Mac n’ Cheese & green bean casserole. Made a cake & bought the pies. We ate good & enjoyed our family.

🙏🏽We give GRATITUDE to the intentional/unintentional Living & Ancestral Revolutionaries:
Nat Turner, Chris Donner, Micah Johnson, DeArthur Pinson Jr & Debrett Black for their contributions in deleting oppressors/colonizers/slave patrollers; Eddie Bohannon for his attempt to take out a slave patroller, The Stono Revolutionaries & all others whom have not been documented for revolting against & deleting our oppressors, the slave patrollers & colonizers.

🙏🏽Honorary Gratitude to: Jean-Jaqués Dessalines, The Haitian Revolutionaries, Joseph Cinqué, The Amistad Revolutionaries & The Germans for their contributions in deleting our shared oppressors/colonizers.
