My most hated type of snow [post snow removal]

Because if you allow 2 to 3 inches of this snow to accumulate and let it sit there for even just a few hours (during a continuous snowfall)... you may not remove the bottom part of it with your blower.
The more water the snow has, the more difficult snow removal will be. You can thank the "just above freezing temp that day/night" as well.

Note: I'm not talking about the slushy snow here. I'm talking about a type of snow that is saturated with water that when it lands on your driveway/walkway it halfway melts and the other of its half just stick to the newer fresh landed snow (hope that makes sense). And as it snow more, the heaviness of all these snow get compacted the ones in the bottom and further sort of "bonding them" with the ground.

Now, you may think you have the big 2-stage snow blower, the 26", 28", or the 32". But these big 2 stage blowers will ride over that "heavy sticky" snow, too, just like the Snowmaster if the snow is really "sticky". Leaving you with inches of even more compacted snow on the ground if you force your 2-stage run through it. The 2-stage will plow the bottom snow, yes, but it will slowly ride up as you walk, you cam blame your skid shoes for this.

If this is the type of snow you are dealing with in your driveway, what's the best tool to use? Simple (fast and efficiently)... use a single stage snowthrower with rubber paddles.▪︎
