Gnarliest Trails in Missouri! Shepherd Mountain Bike Park Ironton Missouri
Our new friends in Kansas City highly recommended we make a stop at the brand new Shepherd Bike Park in Ironton Missouri as it has some of the steepest, gnarliest trails they’d ever ridden. They weren’t lying!

Shepherd Mountain Bike Park is a rockin’ good time, pun intended. The history is deep in this valley and the mountain was at one time used for a very different purpose. Trails include some pro-level double black diamond rocky tech to a green flow trail, which is still quite advanced compared to other greens we’ve ridden. There are more trails being built and the plan is to continue expansion into the future.

A nearby campground is geared for mountain bikers and a local shop, The Wheel House, sells shuttle tickets for riders who don’t want to pedal up the 600-foot mountain.

We definitely look forward to coming back if we’re passing through the area and highly recommend this bike park if you’re near Missouri, just be sure to bring some heavy duty tires!
