What is going on with SIG Sauer?
Sig Sauer’s new line up for 2022 is here. This year, Sig is giving you a new round, two new guns and a new line of suppressors.

Is a Sig Sauer MCX an AR-15?
The Sig Sauer MCX is not an AR-15. But Sig’s new latch system in the MCX allows you to use standard AR triggers in it.

Is the MCX a good rifle?
The MCX is a good rifle for anyone wanting a lighter weight platform with a narrower handguard when compared to previous models. The new gen 3 MCX is also now able to shoot 7.62x39.

What caliber is 277?
.277 is a new caliber developed by Sig Sauer for the Army NGSW program. It uses a hybrid case technology to give you a lighter round while still being able to handle higher pressure levels.

What does the 277 Fury compare to?
The 277 Fury has a pressure of around 80,000 psi which is much higher compared to standard SAAMI cartridges which only have around 50,000 psi.

What is the Army's NGSW?
NGSW stands for Next Generation Squad Weapons. It is a program designed to improve squad lethality and overall effectiveness on the battlefield.

What caliber is the MCX spear?
The MCX Spear will be chambered in .277 Sig Fury. The platform has been designed to be able to reliably handle the higher pressures of the .277 Fury.

Are SIG silencers good?
Sig Sauer’s SLX line of suppressors are able to minimize flash suppression as well as blowback into the user's face while still providing a good amount of sound reduction. The SLH line maximizes sound suppression while still providing a reduction in blowback to the shooter.

What metal are suppressors made of?
Sig Sauer's new SLH line of suppressors will be available in titanium and inconel. The SLX line will only be available in inconel. Titanium is known for being lighter in weight and inconel is known for its extreme durability.
