Church of England rev Jamie Franklin was joined by Rhys Laverty of The Davenant Institute speaking about the new book Protestant Social Teaching: An Introduction. This book brings social teaching in the Reformed tradition to bear upon critical issues of the modern day. We spoke about why such a project is necessary and who it might help. And we used the example of principled Christian rebellion, particularly in the context of the Covid shutdowns, as an illustration of applied Protestant social teaching.
