NDP MP Peter Julian backed by Greens & Conservatives asks House to throw out amendments to Bill C-21

Your work is paying off!! Keep it up! On a point of order, NDP MP for New Westminster—Burnaby asked the Speaker of the House to throw out all amendments to Bill C-21 saying they were not debated in the house as part of the democratic process and were, echoing NDP MP Alistair MacGregor weeks earlier, an abuse of power.

Elizabeth May added her support to withdraw the amendments as did Andrew Scheer.

Ultimately, the Speaker made the decision to let the committee continue its work and decide at a later time if what the committee decides satisfies the House.
