Casting Japanese Family Crest Medals with Scrap Brass! Sand Casting, Metal Melting, and More!

Ahoy, Kraken Crew! Today I'm going to make some family crest medallions for my wife's cousin.

First I made a 3D model on tinkercad.com and printed it on my Snapmaker 3D printer. Next, I packed the plastic into Petrobond sand to make a mold, then poured molten metal. After some polishing--and some awful hand sanding-- think they turned out great! Also, mail call from our good friend @Scrap2Cast !

*DISCLAIMER* Metal casing is dangerous. The temperatures are intense, the fumes are dangerous. Do not replicate at home without proper knowledge and PPE.
