Have you ever seen a blue stingray? The Cownose stingray is a very unique eagle ray known to form large flocks and migrate long distances, but there are many unknowns about the cause of travel and patterns.

Cownose rays DO have a venomous barb on their tail, but this is not fatal to humans. Cownose stingrays are active swimmers and very graceful animals that can be observed in the wild. They are rarely found motionless at the bottom of the ocean, like their relatives - whiptails.
