SHOT DEAD: Body Cam Captures Shooting Of Gunman

This is the moment Austin Police Officers Kelby Radford, Ryan Rawlins, and Jacob Bowman shot a gunman.

The incident that resulted in the death of Anthony Marquis Franklin, 31, occurred on January 15, 2023, in a downtown Austin entertainment zone.

Several calls were received by Austin police regarding a shooter shooting on West Sixth Street.

The police dispatched teams quickly, and upon arrival, they discovered the injured victim, who was carried to a hospital by Austin-Travis County EMS medics and treated and discharged.

The gunman, subsequently identified as Anthony Marquis Franklin, 31, was soon found by police.

The footage shows authorities asking the man to surrender and drop the firearm, but he attempts to flee.

In an attempt to escape the police, Franklin leapt off the porch and landed on the ground, where three officers fired at him and hit him.

Franklin was detained by the police while they looked for further weapons on him. The cops then began administering first aid to him. He was carried to the hospital by EMS personnel, where he eventually died, according to authorities.

None of the cops were hit.
