A former Mount Royal University professor, Frances Widdowson, has had her upcoming lecture cancelled by the University of Lethbridge. Widdowson recently made headlines for controversial comments she made about residential schools and the Black Lives Matter movement. As BCN’s Micah Quinn explains, representatives from the U of L Students’ Union are happy that Widdowson will not be making an appearance at the post-secondary institution.
