Teshuvah by Tracy Nicholls featuring MiKe Chambers

Well, this song is something very different for me - a collaboration with my very talented nephew MiKe Chambers. We had discussed working on a joint music project for sometime but nothing had happened. Then the Lord, gave me a tune and told me it was for MiKe. I sent it to him to see what he thought of the rough tune and what he felt the song was about, as we had no words for it at the time. Only God can do this but we both felt in the spirit it was a song about repentance, so Teshuvah was born.
Teshuvah is a Hebrew word meaning repentance and is the central theme of the time between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
The three steps to Teshuvah are;
1 Regret (“yis'nachem al she'avar”),
2. Confession (“l'hisvados bi'sfasav”).
3. Leaving the sin/ committing to not doing it again (“she'ya'azov ha'choteh chet'o ... vi'yigmor b'libo she'lo ya'asehu ode”).

I am releasing this in the new year as it is a good time to repent. For anyone coming to know Jesus, these same steps should be taken in believing and accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. For those of us walking with Jesus, we may continue to struggle with the flesh and the sins of this world at times, so we also need to Teshuvah.
