MCDONALD'S TESTING STRAWLESS LIDS - A REMEDIAL SOLUTION IGNORING THE REAL WASTE PROBLEM

McDonald's got press last week for announcing they are introducing strawless lids in some test markets, replacing straws with a lid similar to kid sippy cup lids. This does not address the waste problem, and neither does McDonald's goal that by 2025 their disposables will be made from recycled materials, when they should not exist at all. That conversion to a needed reusable eatery has been prevented by all environmental voices since Nov 93.
