Rep. McGee - Post-Partum Service in MS

Representative Missy McGee explains post-partum care and the need for HB 1362 which would extend Medicaid coverage from 60 days to 12 months for mothers after giving birth.

Representative McGee is one of only 15 women who serve in the House out of 122 members. But, women make up 50/51% of the population in the state.

Last week the Mississippi Department of Health released the Mississippi Maternal Mortality Report, and the state is going in the wrong direction with an 8% increase in deaths related to pregnancy or after pregnancy.
