The Kar98k, the Wehrmacht's backbone in WW2. With it's origins tracing back to Paul Mauser's Model 1898 rifle, there is an estimate of somewhere between 90mi to 125mil units produced, making the Mauser rifle is the world's most prolific rifle design.

The main two complaints on the standard infantry Kar98k, however: the sight system and the recoil that the 8mm cartridge puts out... so how does it hold it's ground to 500yards?

On an off note, gamers actually know of the Kar98k from Doc and Shroud shredding it on PUBG...

Ammunition used: hand loaded 7.92x57mm/8mm Mauser cartridges, 200grain Nosler custom projectiles to match the WW2 Wehrmacht 2650-2700fps. These rounds were quite the thumper, and after a few stripper clips worth, Henry was feeling the love...
